MENACE - GLC (RIP) - LP
You won't get far in a London punk discussion without Menace boot-stomping their way into the conversation. Fully forming in the summer of '77, the year punk died (out of its infancy), the 'GLC' single took aim at the tory government and its out of touch reaction to what was happening in the day-to-day life of common people. How times have not changed. This compilation takes that ferocious call to arms and accompanies it with the entire collection of A & B-sides from the original line-up's heyday. With many of these cuts long out of print, or going for extortionate prices online, 'GLC (RIP)' offers fans a chance to finally lockdown some of the most seminal, unadulterated, grassroots, Oi-leaning punk this country can proudly consider its own.
